Meet Carolyn

Strong Work Ethic

My father was a carpenter and his favorite saying was “Plan Your Work, Work Your Plan”. I learned the value of hard work growing up on a horse farm in Northwest Indiana where I made a point to keep up with the boys when it came to physical labor. I excelled in math & science in high school and went on to earn a degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue, while also holding a part time job. I recall a college professor once explaining to the class, “I am not teaching you to be an engineer, I am teaching you a proven method for problem solving that you can use in all aspects of your life.” I try to carry forward those ideals – a methodical problem solving approach combined with hard work – in everything I do.
